So it's our 28th anniversary today. If you read my earlier post this week, you know what we are NOT doing together. But as I sit here this morning, my wedding vows came into my head. And was thinking how they look, today with Covid-19 and "Stay In Place/Stay Safe" Order in effect.
None. WE have been here before.
I saw this on Facebook. It REALLY hits home. That's the ball game, isn't it?
...but "the fear" had taken hold, I knew in my gut, my soul, the phone was dying.
The flag will fly. The small town parades will be great. We will say prayers around the picnic table. Children's laughter will fill the air. Great tunes will be played on the radio.
I am writing today because sometimes a car is MORE than a car. Sometimes a car becomes an intimate part of your family.
Chris Pratt won the "Our Generation Award" at the MTV Movie & TV Awards Monday night.
And he took this opportunity to talk to the younger generation. In his own style. In his own way.
I don't at all. I don't care where "you land" on this issue. I don't want to hear what you think. But I can't stand by quietly.
