George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor.
I have been struggling. Been struggling with my feelings. Been struggling with what, if anything, I should say. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks today. I already said it. I said it 5 and a half years ago. Our world has changed dramatically in the last 5 years, yet our world hasn’t changed at all.

A new friend of mine posted this a few days ago. This also put a new wrinkle in my struggle.
It’s not black people’s job to fight for equality. It’s ours.
It’s not black people’s job to fight to be valued. It’s ours.
It’s not black people’s job to demand justice. It’s ours.
Crush white supremacy.
It’s my job.
It’s our job.

Praying that we all come to a place, a place where there is only “we”. Not us and them. Not black and white. Not right and wrong. Not rich and poor.
Call me a dreamer, call me naive, call me whatever you want, but that’s what my prayer is today, tomorrow and till this stops being a story.
