That’s what I have, vertigo!
Literally and figuratively.
Figuratively I have it from this! (BTW, it’s awesome that she got something good done!)
And this, really?
The difference between a dictatorship,
and our allies?
I have a couple of friends fighting cancer right now. Friends my age!
If it has chocolate chips, it’s no longer an Oreo, it’s a chocolate chip cookie!
We don’t take children away from parents as a political football!
Also this, it’s just so sad cause the show was bringing up some real issues and starting important conversations!
People still believe in this guy…?
I have 2 friends going through a divorce right now, my heart brakes for them.
And this, I just have no words at all!
Honestly, it can make your head swim. And literally, at this moment, my head is swimming!
I am actually dealing with Benign Positional Vertigo. Which if you have not had the pleasure it can be extreme. When you lay down the room can spin, or actually do flips (I had that last year).
Right now my head is just a little off, like 3-4 pounds too heavy. When I look side to side, there is a slight delay, and I have to adjust to it. On occasion my footing is a little off and I am more aware of my surroundings, not taking my steps for granted. This also comes with a small dose of nausea. Which makes my usual daily routine/work not as pleasurable. At times I am slightly irritable, while having trouble focusing on things that are important.
Is it just me or does my “figurative” list make you feel like YOU have vertigo? Check the symptoms above! Are you not quite sure “of your footing” when talking to people about current events? Have you been on Facebook/Twitter, who’s been more irritable these days? Are you more aware of your surrounding and what you say/do? Does it make you nauseous?
I think the country (ALL OF US) are experiencing this sensation. So much happening, so fast, from so many directions. It’s hard to process everything going on right now. It’s a mental bombardment.
When things are going “wrong” in my life, if I have a struggle going on, or I need an escape, I always turn to music. So I pulled up Vertigo by U2!
C’mon, you thought it at the beginning of this. And if you didn’t, you don’t know me as well as you think!
The last verse/chorus seems to hit home for me right now.
We’re at a place called Vertigo
(¿dónde está?)
Lights go down, and all I know
Is that you give me something
I can feel your love teaching me how
Your love is teaching me how
How to kneel
Kneel
With all that’s going on in the world, I’ll just keep praying, each and every day!
May I suggest you do the same?
